Personality: Ace is fun loving and has a great honour in being a member of his village. He will risk his life to defend his view of the village and anyone who is a threat to it will become his enemy. He also loves to move around places but does enjoy loitering around anywhere. He also journeys around on his own. He is also slightly cocky and arrogant at times.

Bio: Ace was born in a small country but his parents were from the Sand village. His birth name was actually Monkey D. Ace. His mother returned, hiring body guards that were old family friends, to look after them on their journey back. He wasn't very social as a child as he was too busy training to make his mother proud. He was raised to use fire element attacks and he is known for his 'Hiken'. He had graduated the academy at the age of 8 but his 'body flicker' technique caught the eye of Tsunade who decided to take him up as a student at the age of 9. The special thing about his body flicker technique was that after he flicked himself he left a trail of flame on the ground. He had also gained a deep hatred towards his father.

Ever since he started training with Tsunade, Ace had become more social and had been taught the value of friendship although he still hasn't managed to get a friend. He was put through vigorous training from Tsunade and was trained to control chakra more efficiently and Ace was able to execute his fire style techniques without burning as much chakra as he used to and perform more advance techniques.

Genin ~ Tsunade had become his unofficial mentor, Ace was an unusual case as he disbanded himself from his squad and trained with Tsuande. He learnt to perfect the art of chakra control to the point where he could create fire a slight way away from him and actually 'hold' fire. Ace had declined all the D rank missions he was assigned and threw a small tantrum. He was finally assigned a C rank which he felt that even these did not test his skill and asked to do them alone but was denied. He continued C ranks with his teacher. He asked his teacher to go for the chuunin exam but was denied entry as he did not have a team. He was later added to a new Genin team. They were extremely happy as they were allowed to go straight to C rank missions. He did not develop a friendship with them but did feel he was an older brother type for them so always looked after them. He went onto taking the Chuunin exam with the record of 69 C Ranks.

Chuunin ~ Ace had become Chuunin first time round, at the age of 12, but the others had not. He had become independent but many thought he was going to become an outlaw. He changed his name to Portgas for his mother as his father abandoned them. He had continued to train under Tsunade's tutelage but also began to peak his fire style techniques. He had become notorious for his 'Hiken' but was also known for his entrance technique 'Heat Haze'. He went on to become an ANBU candidate but was refused as he was known for working by himself, which he believed was better than working in a team. His training from Tsunade gave him inhuman strength, dexterity and stamina as well as peak chakra control but he was not very good at Genjutsu but was able to learn how to dispell most Genjutsu. Not much is known is about him during this time as he was always in and out. He was also very grumpy during this time as he was unlikely to change anytime soon. He decided to take the Jounin exam at the age of 16.
Jounin ~ Surprisingly he had just managed to become a Jounin first time he applied and took the test. He had left the village straight after and was branded an A Rank Missing Nin. He had returned a couple of years later. This leave had a tremendous affect on his personality and appearance. He was more laid back and fun loving and more open towards others. He resumed training under Tsunade, and surprising her with new techniques and mastery of his old techniques. He also improved in all aspects and even was offered to become a Special Jounin but declined and decided that he would settle as a Jounin for a long time. His opinion and views changed as he know valued his village and sensei and stood against those who went against them.

Abilities:

His physical attributes are inhuman, he can hurl large boulders at opponents and use his offensive fire techniques to defend himself even against elite opponents. He can also use his fire affitnity with his taijutsu and weapons. It is heard that he is also efficient in dealing large amounts of area damage. He is a master of fire abilities and also can take large amounts of damage and still continue to overwhelm his opponent. He has also taken on opponents of great calibre, though not defeating them, but mortally wounding them and even retreat after doing do. He can also 'hold' fire and actually use the opponents fire attacks against them, fire based attacks are useless against him.

Countless Shuriken – Many in his scrolls.

Three Shuriken – He wears on a necklace around his neck.

Dragons Heart : A large 6ft sword that he holds in a scroll he keeps close to him. This sword creates fire using Ace's chakra and can even create temperatures of 500 degrees.

Type: Ninjutsu/Taijutsu, Offensive, C Rank, Short Range 0~10 Metres
Descripton: Ace shoots a stream of fire from the palm of his hand, going forward or sideways from the way the palm faces.

Name: Fire Fist (Hiken)
Type: Ninjutsu/Taijutsu, Offensive, C Rank, Short - Long Range 0~100 Metres
Description: Apparently Ace's signature attack and the source of his nickname of "Fire Fist Ace". Ace turns his fist into flames and launches it as a column of fire at his target. This attack is incredibly powerful that it is able to plow through several ships in one shot. The attack gets stronger and stronger as the attack carries on eventually dissapearing after reaching it's limit.

Description: Pointing the index and middle fingers of both hands at an opponent like guns, Ace turns his fingertips into flames and shoots bullets made of fire at them.

Description: Ace amasses a large amount of flames around his body in preparation for an attack. This is apparently the prerequisite technique before Ace can use Hibashira.

Name: Fire Pillar (Hibashira)

Description: Used following Enkai. Ace shoots the collected flames straight upward, destroying a target above him.

Name: Firefly Fire: Body Covered in Flames (Hotarubi: Hidaruma)

Description: Ace creates many small fireballs that float around an enemy before flying into them all at once, burning them. The idea behind this attack's name is that before he attacks with them, the small fireballs look like fireflies in the air.

Description: Ace created two fire lances and impales the target, piercing them and burning them simultaneously.

Description: Ace's ultimate technique. Ace creates a gigantic fireball resembling the sun and hurls it at his opponent to try to obliterate them. Leaves Ace fatigued.
