PersonalityQuick to be angered and annoyed, Deidara was very hot-headed. Something of a sadistic arsonist, he was not above relishing a good fight, and he often blew up his opponents in a very brutal fashion (e.g. blowing off the heads of Sand ninja sentries shortly after his debut). Deidara's most distinctive trait, however, was his love of art. He would respect any form of it, even if it disagreed with his own. Deidara also had a habit of ending his sentences with nasal-like grunts, roughly translated as "yeah" or "hmmm". The latter is used in the VIZ version.

Each piece of art will be infused with one of four explosive chakra types: C1, C2, C3 or C4. C1 is used in most of Deidara's smaller art pieces including spiders, centipedes and birds. C2 is used in his favorite attack, the C2 Dragon combo jutsu. C3 was seen in his most powerful large scale attack, his Speciality #18 Jutsu. And finally, C4 is seen in his most deadly attack, the microscopic bomb C4 Karura.
The bird shhown here allows him to run recon over his target area. It is highly mobile and can allow him to drop other art on his targets below.. He has various other bird types as well which can serve the same function. After removing the bindings sealing the mouth on his chest, Deidara will feed the maw a large clump of clay. After being ingested, dark veins will begin to emerge on his body as he infuses the clay with his explosive chakra. When the veins nearly cover his whole body, they will begin to retreat back into a sphere located near the chest mouth. When the veins totally retreat back into the clay, Deidara will ignite it causing a huge explosion which will cover a ten kilometer area.
s its chakra to that internal spot in its body. The chakra will activate the clay causing the bunshin to blow up in a violent explosion. The bunshin and explosion can also act as a decoy, allowing Deidara to escape from enemy detection.

C1 is used in most of Deidara's smaller art pieces including spiders, centipedes and birds. The creature shown here is a spider type homing explosive. These spiders will search out an enemy and get near enough for Deidara to release the explosive seal and cause detonation.

Akatsuki member Deidara is an artist at heart, and he uses his modeling clay to fashion animals which help him in combat. After withdrawing a bit of clay from his pouch, Deidara will use his palm mouths to consume the clay and fashion it into a dragon which is infused with his C2 chakra.
Deidara will act in conjunction with Tobi to create a combination attack meant to stop an agile opponent. The large dragon will first drawn in some of its tail to create numerous spheres which it will expel from its mouth. The dragon can then take to the air and while Tobi places the spheres underground, beneath the feet of their opponent. From his position in the air, Deidara can launch smaller, more explosive C2 dragons towards his target. This combination of land mines and aerial attacks will box his opponent in, making any wrong move their last.

Akatsuki member Deidara is an artist at heart, and he uses his modeling clay to fashion animals which help him in combat. These can take the form of birds for flight and exploding seeker birds and spiders. Deidara possesses two mouths on the palm of each hand. Withdrawing a bit of clay from his pouch, one of the mouths can consume the clay and fashion it into a creature. Deidara can then make the item bigger after forming the necessary handseals. He will retain control over the item and can decide what actions the clay art will take.
Deidara possesses a specialty jutsu which can cause massive damage. Deidara imbues his explosive art with his chakra, in this technique's case he imbues his clay model with his most explosive chakra, called C3. After he sends the model off, he can use a release command to detonate it. It is capable of leveling an entire village.
c4 Karura
Akatsuki member Deidara is an artist at heart, and he uses his modeling clay to fashion objects which help him in combat. After ingesting his clay into his real mouth, Deidara will expel the C4 chakra infused explosive clay from his gullet to create his most deadly Kibaku Nendo attack. This particular attack was developed to kill Uchiha Itachi.
The expelled clay with combine to form a gigantic version of a cloaked Deidara. After forming the needed hand seals, the giant Deidara will explode into a fine cloud of microscopic clay bombs. These tiny objects will be controlled by Deidara's chakra as they move towards their target. The target will then unknowingly breathe in the cloud. These tiny objects will then travel throughout the body and detonate, causing microscopic explosions. This in turn causes the body to disintegrate on a cellular level. Note that the cloud of microscopic bombs contains chakra, so if the target possesses some means to see chakra, such as the Sharingan, then they can move to avoid the attack.

Deidara makes a clay dragon from his real mouth. When he is finished a Full sized clay Dragons comes out he focuses his chakra to tell the dragon to move or become millions of mines. These mines can cover 5% of the land of Fire. But Deidara can't set them off one at a time so if one were to be hit with lightning it would automatically detonate. But instead of covering bbeing able to cover 5% it goes down two 2.5%.

Swallowing Dragons Roar (Hein Yuugo)

Using a large amount of clay from his pouch, Deidara uses this technique to make a large dragon, releasing it into the air as it expands. As it expands the body hardens like rock and forms, Deidara sends it crashing at the ground into the target, and explodes.
Clay Butterfly Storm (Nendo Choarashi)

Deidara morphs clay butterflies into his hand, releasing it into the air and they begin to multiply, spreading through the air as they cover it. They begin to detonate one by one spreading the feild in explosions.

Deidara is able to create a special clay in his hands.. It is a specially arranged mixture of clay and certain rock sediments. With this knowledge the user can make as much clay as they want.

Exploding Clay: Flying tools is a strong technique which doesnt use alot of chakra, but creates throwing weapons in Deidara's palm. Deidara sends the weapons flying at the target, and detonating.
Exploding Clay: Salamander Ant (Nendo Kibaku: Sanshōuoari)

As deidara morphs the ultimate creation in his palm, the clay begins to fill with a large amoutn of chakra. Deidara pulls the salamander ant out and releases it into the air, the creation expands and turns into a massive beast. The massive Salamander is able to create bullets of clay in his mouth and fire them at the target.
Abilities: A fancy and skillful fighter, Deidara possessed special mouths in the palm of each hand to create Exploding Clay, chakra-infused clay that detonated with the command Katsu (喝) and a single-hand hand seal. This clay could be molded into a wide variety of shapes and forms, growing to large sizes when infused with chakra (with Deidara performing the necessary hand seals), and could be controlled at will. This allowed him to create living explosives to attack opponents at long range. Deidara could even create clones from the clay, named Suicide Bombing Clones, that could be a deadly surprise for opponents. Deidara's clay creations ranged from microscopic to gigantic in size, allowing him to adapt to any situation. Deidara could also use the clay for other purposes, as he was frequently seen creating birds to be used for transportation. It seemed he also knew standard earth-based jutsu, as shown from his Earth Release: Mole Hiding Technique, which he used to avoid damage from one of his mass-scale bombs. However, he could potentially run out of clay if he used too much of it, leaving him vulnerable.
He also wore a scope on his left eye for long-range observation, and he had trained the eye itself to counter genjutsu, allowing him to see through and negate them. This was done in response to Itachi's powerful genjutsu skills, of which he had a considerable loathing, and resolved to defeat if he got the chance.
Deidara was very intelligent, often using tricks, misdirection, and calculated gambles to get his explosives in range of an opponent, like he did in the fight against Gaara, putting clay into Gaara's sand when it destroyed his arm. As a long-range specialist, he was weaker in close combat, but skilled enough to hold off a close combat battle with specialists like Team Guy, and had a variety of techniques in his arsenal to escape close quarters when necessary. Deidara's abilities were well recognized within Akatsuki, and the leader, Pain, openly admitted that he was something unique, and that his loss was a major blow to the group.
